There’s nothing quite like having family visit when you live abroad. I know it was always a really special time for me and my children when we lived in Paris. Finally the kids would have the opportunity to catch up with their grandparents, aunts, uncles and sometimes even cousins. I treasured seeing everyone together, sightseeing, having a laugh, sharing in the magic of Paris and to see those special family bonds. An all to rare occassion when you live on the opposite side of the planet.

So I am thrilled that I am getting more and more requests to have Family Photo Sessions and to sneak in a few extra shots with the grandparents. So if you do have family visting this summer why not think about having a photo session. I’ll be offering Summer Photo Sessions from June 14th until August 14th and offering all grandparents the opportunity to jump into a few photos (or hobble depending on individual needs).

Not a bad little idea for a present for the grandparents is it. Happy Friday everyone.

Last year I met the uber sweet little Juliette and her parents. We met one morning just outside The Louvre in Paris and I have to confess we had more than a little fun playing together. Of course I’m always in heaven photographing a super cute child, lovely backdrop with a good dose of childhood fun along the way. And Juliette certainly has a fun little streak. How adorable is she.

I recently had the wonderful opportunity to photograph the beautiful Julie and Cheyne on their wedding day in Perth. And what a stunning day it was. Full of love, beauty, emotion, laughter, friendship and fun. It was a real treat to be asked to capture Julie & Cheyne’s wedding day . Made even more meaningful as I am great friends with Julie’s brother Eric and his lovely wife Charlotte, my great buddies from Paris.

I felt so blessed to have the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous couple with their family and friends. Julie & Cheyne your wedding day was stunning and you guys truly are an amazing couple and no doubt have an incredible life ahead of you. Last weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to meet Jaqui and her husband Eric and their three gorgeous children Taryn, Asher and Bailey. I was instantly taken by their fabulous names, aren’t they awesome!! The family chose to have their family photos taken at the stunning Nielsen Park in the eastern suburbs of Sydney right on Sydney Harbour. It really is such a stunning location for family photographs (not to mention a swim on a hot summer’s day!!).

We were lucky as the morning was a little bit cooler than the average Sydney summer’s day so the kids didn’t get too hot and bothered. It was a lovely morning getting to know the family and discover the kids personalities. And of course I was in photographer’s heaven with such gorgeous kiddies!!

Jaqui & Eric, I had such a treat meeting you both and your family is just gorgeous. I’m busy working on your gallery and should be sharing it with you really soon. And just quietly I can’t wait!!

I LOVE meeting families from all over the world and have to confess I LOVE how international the world has become as families jet off on holidays around the globe. How fabulous for little people to see the world and experience different cultures. And yes I am a self confessed travel junky.

So I was thrilled to receive an email from Camille in the Philippines to ask if I could capture her and her 6 year old daughter Sophia on their holiday in Paris. Fast forward a few months, and one day in September we met at the Louvre for a portrait session with a Parisian flavour.

Camille, I had such a great time with you both and Sophia is just ADORABLE. You must be a super proud Mummy. Hope you like the sneak peek and I’m looking forward to sharing the rest of the images really soon.

Whilst I was in Paris for Fall Portrait Photo Sessions, I was lucky enough to meet with a family who I photographed in spring 2011. This year Shella and her family chose to have some family photos in the luxurious Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. And what a treat that was for me. Talk about decadence.

The family looked fabulous all frocked up and Le Grand Salon was just sublime. It was so beautifully opulent it reminded me of the Chateau de Versailes. All the gold certainly made for a luxurious backdrop. It was really incredible to have the opportunity to photograph a family in such a stunning venue as the Shangri-La. So a HUGE thanks to Shella for inviting me to capture her gorgeous family once again. I really was in photographer heaven!

It was a somewhat chilly day in Versailles when I met with Kate, Alex and their gorgeous kiddies for a fun photo session at the Château de Versailles. I mean let’s be honest if you can have family photos at a french castle why not! Especially one of THE most beautiful castles in France.

Versailles is a pretty stunning location for family photos as the château gardens are so beautiful. The franco-american family live quite close to Versailles so it seemed the natural choice.

It’s always a treat when I get to photograph a family more than once as I get to see how the little ones have grown. And so I was thrilled to take some photos of little Sebastien and his family at the Eiffel Tower. The first time I met him he was only a few weeks old so it was great to photograph him again and see how much he had changed. And I have to confess he really is a gorgeous little baby.

It’s always a treat to have photography sessions in different locations around Paris and so I was thrilled when Federica emailed me to organise a photo session at beautiful Parc Bagatelle in Neuilly just outside of Paris. It was a stunning morning when we met and we had lots of fun playing in the beautiful park. I’m a real fan of greenery and so as you can imagine I was in heaven. Coupled with gorgeous kiddies and I can’t think of a better way to spend a morning.
