I recently met the lovely Haydee & Bo, a Peruvian-Danish couple who were celebrating their first trip to Paris together.It’s always fun to explore Paris with visitors … and I really love capturing couples together in the City of Light. Sharing in the magic of their first kiss in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower.

… and just getting to know them as a couple and to hear about their lives together. They were so sweet together and were completely in the swing of sharing romantic moments together in Paris.Haydee & Bo I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay here and I wish you all the best for your future adventures together.

Life sure is crazy this summer. Not only are we adapting to our life as a family of FIVE but we are also preparing for our move back to Sydney.

In case you haven’t heard the news, this time next week we’ll be on A330 bound for Sydney, to start our new life in Australia. After 7 years of living in Paris, it’s super hard to leave. I love summer in Paris: all the Parisians have left; the cafe terraces are buzzing with life whilst everyone enjoys long evenings; and the summer food is simply divine - figs and prosciutto anyone? Although I do know that there are many exciting adventures ahead of us, with our family and fabulous friends close by. And hey, I’ll be back in Paris next month for some fall photo sessions (and next summer) so I’ll be able to have my little Paris fix.

Summer is also a wonderful time to visit Paris as this fabulous couple from Denmark did last week. They’ll be featuring on the blog over the next few days so please be sure to pop back really soon.

I always love to meet new faces and especially to meet fellow expats who are having a Paris adventure. So I was interested to meet Jennie, and her 3 boys for a photo session as we had both just had our third child. Isn’t baby Peter a cutie!

Jennie and her family are from Texas and they have three gorgeous boys - 5 week old baby Peter,1.5 year old Jack …and 2.5 year old Sam.
All super cute although they must keep their folks on their toes (or perhaps on their backs some days!!).Jennie, I hope you like your little sneak peek and I hope your nights are getting a little easier with your gorgeous Peter.

I recently met sweet baby Peter and his family. Peter was only 5 weeks old for our photo session and was such a little cherub - I hardly heard a peep from him. Peter has two older brothers Sam and Jack who are equally as cute. I’ll be posting more images from our photo session tomorrow but wanted to share this sweet image and to reassure his Mommy that it won’t be much longer!

Sometimes I arrive at photo sessions and I’m tickled pink when I see what everyone is wearing. The colour combination really makes such a difference to the photos. And sure enough when I met up with this Paris-based family from South Africa I did a happy dance inside my head. Isn’t this dress just the cutest … it also happens to be a combination of my favourite colours!

All the family looked fabulous and we had a lovely little morning wandering around the Champs de Mars … … capturing some moments in time of the family in Paris together.

It’s such a great age when they are little, which passes all too quickly!

Recently I’ve been having quite a few sessions at the Eiffel Tower. As soon as the weather warms up it seems to be a popular choice for a lot of families in Paris. A few weeks ago I was all set to meet Jill and her family and a torrential downpour started when we were all en route to the photo session. We were all pretty disappointed (it’s not an easy mission to get 2 kiddies dressed and out of the house early in the morning). So we rescheduled our session for the following weekend and as luck would have it, it turned out to be a fabulous session. (In fact it was one of my favourite recent photo sessions.)

Not only were the kids gorgeous but they even co-operated and happily let me take their photos instead of running the opposite direction …

And they were both so cute & cheery that it made my job a breeze …

… as did Jill and her hubby. Aren’t they are both gorgeous!!

Jill, it was really lovely to meet you and have the opportunity to capture some memories of your beautiful family. I’m super excited to share your photo gallery with you really soon too! In the meantime I hope you have a fabulous vacation and I’ll be in touch really soon.

Last weekend we were lucky enough to pop down to the Côte d’Azur to see Melody Gardot at the Jazz festival at Juan les Pins. Cheekily we left the ‘big kids’ with their grandparents (who are visiting from Australia) and just had baby Saskia with us. We met up with some good friends from Paris and so it was a lovely little break away from the hustle and bustle of Paris (and the kiddies!). This is the beach at Antibes just across from our hotel. Not a bad little spot is it?

We had a lovely alfresco dinner (with a sublime view) before setting off for the Jazz that evening. Melody Gardot was fabulous and it was a perfect evening watching live jazz, with the backdrop of the sun setting over the Mediterranean.

It was a great escape, just a shame we couldn’t stay for longer!

After five fabulous years in Paris this month Megan, John and their family are moving back to Sydney, Australia (just one month ahead of us!). Their three gorgeous boys Luc, Noah and Ethan were born in Paris so their stay here has been extra special. Paris will always have a special place in their hearts. So a photo session with the Eiffel Tower seemed the obvious choice to capture their final days in Paris.I always love having Paris themed photo sessions and I never tire of seeing the Eiffel Tower - even seven years down the track! And this session certainly didn’t disappoint as the boys were SUCH fun…With smiles like these how could you not enjoy yourself?Aren’t they gorgeous!

Megan & John I have so many more images to share with you of your beautiful family…

… I had such a fun morning and I loved meeting your little boys they are just divine. Hope the move back to Sydney is a good one and hopefully our paths will cross again sometime in Sydney.

It always amazes how quickly children grow and it’s SO evident when I get a chance to meet little ones again. I first met Emily when she was one, for her first photo session and I met her again last year when she turned two. She’s now three and I was amazed how much she was chatting away during her photo session a few weeks ago (with the cutest American accent!).

Isn’t she a cutie pie!

Emily has a very special friend ‘Doudou’, who also came to the photo session to have a look at the Eiffel Tower … I was lucky enough to meet Doudou last year. Emily & Doudou have had many, many adventures together and will be starting school together in September (kids start school early in France don’t they!).

Heather & Paul it was great seeing you again and seeing how much little Emily has grown. I’m super pleased we could squeeze in a photo session before I set off for Australia next month. Two months already ~ Paris & Sydney Newborn Photographer ~Sarah Gardan Photography

Our darling Saskia is already two months old. Sometimes it seems like yesterday and yet I just can’t imagine a time when this beautiful little soul wasn’t in our lives. Back in the days when I was still pregnant I was a tad worried about having three children. So many people reassured me about how easy it was to have ‘Baby Number 3′. To be honest I was dubious as our other two kiddies have been pretty easy (ear infections aside!). And so I was convinced that we were in for some challenging early baby days. To my wonderful surprise we seem to have been blessed with an easy third child. I am so terribly grateful that we have had an easy transition into the world of three kids as no doubt things will change. (And of course things are still pretty crazy, aren’t they darling hubby!)

So today I wanted to celebrate our little Saskia and her wonderful first two months. I’ve really been enjoying having a baby in the warmer months … such cute little outfits! Don’t you just love the cherries! And not only so many cute summer clothes, but it’s so easy to go outdoors without having to worry about coats, gloves & hats everytime we leave home.
Saskia treats us to so many of her cheeky little smiles which are terribly infectious. And okay I am going to boast just a little on how wonderfully she is sleeping and the fact that on her two month birthday she slept from 8.30pm until 6.30am. I sure am a super lucky Mummy!
