Last week we made our first ‘family of five’ trip, to Amsterdam. I have to say when we had our first baby I never would have dreamed of travelling internationally to Amsterdam with a newborn. But when your a Mummy for the third time, you’re a bit more relaxed and well, you just do these things. Actually truth be told, we were going for a wedding so it seemed like a perfect occassion to pack up the bags and slip out of Paris for a long weekend. Luckily little Saskia’s passport arrived just in time for us to make the train. My goodness, train travel in Europe is SOOOO fabulous and super easy. Luckily we have been to Amsterdam several times before so we weren’t feeling pressured to see all the sights. Instead, we just chilled with the kiddies and enjoyed the Amsterdam that locals enjoy with thanks to tips & tricks from the ladies at Babyccinokids. It was also lovely to catch up with my fellow photog friends Vinita and Natalie. (Thanks for the lovely long lunch ladies!)
All in all we had a fabulous time although we came back wishing we could have stayed a little longer. Oh to live in Amsterdam!

It’s been exactly one month since our baby girl Saskia was born and I have to say so far it hasn’t been as hard as I imagined. Everyone told me the third was easier than the first two but I was still a little dubious. But as it turns out so far that is the case and Saskia has been pretty cruisy. Although I am also lucky enough to have a super fabulous hubby who has been helping with meals, bath & bedtimes. And, we have been blessed with a little girl who LOVES to sleep (just like her Mummy!). She usually treats me to a 4 or 5 hour sleep during the night which is heavenly. Let’s just hope she keeps this up!

It came as a little surprise a few weeks ago that our little Astrid was going to need to wear corrective glasses for several years until one of her eyes became a little stronger. So after seeing the optometrist we went shopping for some fabulous ‘Lunettes Rouges’. Aren’t they just the cutest!

It all happened terribly quickly about the time when Saskia was born & I was a bit worried about how our little Astrid would take it.
But of course, kids take these things in their stride and in fact she LOVES her new red glasses and happily puts them on each morning and tucks them away in their case each evening.
And her big brother Felix is green with envy and also wants to have some glasses of his very own. (He’ll just have to make do with sunglasses for the moment!)
I’m slowly getting used to the new look and am having fun injecting a splash of red into her wardrobe (which seems to suit her, don’t you think?).
And I’m super happy that we caught it early and hopefully it will only be for a few years until her eyes get stronger. So here’s to Astrid and all the other little cuties in their lunettes!

There’s nothing sweeter than a little newborn baby, except of course when it’s your own newborn baby. And yes it’s true I have been in NEWBORN BABY BLISS. It’s hard to imagine that only 3 weeks ago I was nearing the end of my pregnancy, feeling terribly frustrated not knowing whether we were having a boy or a girl and feeling anxious to meet our new family member. And here I am today unable to imagine a time when Saskia wasn’t part of our family. We are all besotted with little Saskia and she has been a complete cherub so far (touchwood!!). I truly am feeling blessed. She is terribly calm, barely cries and is the most patient little soul. She simply grunts during the night when it’s time to wake up for a feed. What is there not to love? So I couldn’t resist sharing some photos of Saskia taken when she was just a mere 12 days old.

As you can see that there is a ’sleeping theme’ to the photos (much like her life at the moment).
It’s the sweetest thing when she falls asleep as the teeniest smile or two appears. Needless to say they just melt my heart.

And I couldn’t resist taking some photos of her in this super cute little pixie hat …

Yes it’s true, I adore having a little newborn around, even with the sleepless nights, fatigue and endless nappy changes.
Hope to pop back really soon to share some more images of our little girl.

In the meantime I’ll be gazing at this sweet little face of our angel girl Saskia.

I’m super happy to share that our baby was born last Monday 10.5.10 & I’m even more happy to say that it is a baby GIRL (despite EVERYONE telling me I was having a boy)! Introducing our little Saskia Rose Dominique. I have always dreamt of having two little girls & now I have my two little girls & their fabulous big brother. I couldn’t be happier.
Saskia’s arrival into the world was very gentle & relaxing with jazz playing away in the background. So far she is pretty chilled & is sleeping ALL the time (with a few little moments during the night). Big brother Felix & sister Astrid just adore their little sister & we are all in awe of her teeny weeny fingers & toes. No doubt she’ll be having her first little photo session very soon. Here is one of baby Saskia just 1 day old.

I’m in newborn baby bliss!

I only have another few weeks of being a ‘Mummy of two’ and it’s hard to imagine our new family, especially as we have no idea if we are having a boy or a girl. (Although according to EVERYBODY except my MIL and a 2yo, it’s a BOY!) Our two fast-growing up-kiddies bring us so much joy and it’s so fabulous to watch them becoming so close and having so much fun together. I can’t wait to meet our new little family member and enjoy seeing them all together. I feel very, very lucky to have such special little treasures. So today’s post is dedicated to my precious little babes, how much I love them, how proud I am of them, how much I adore their personalities and how happy they make me - even if they do drive me a little crazy at times too. I’m super grateful to Kate from über photography who captured some photos of us together, just a shame my hubby had already returned to Paris.
And what better place than a lovely Australian bush setting for a little explore together.
Although truth be told, our little city dwellers took a bit of getting used to the long grass and bugs. (We don’t get too much of that here in Paris!!)
But it was all worth it to share some special moments together …
…with a little bit of cheekiness thrown in.
Kate, you have no idea how much these photos means to me, thank you so VERY much.
I’m going to treasure these images of my babes for a very long time!

On our recent holiday to Sydney I couldn’t resist having some photos taken to capture some images of the kiddies with the baby bump. It’s rare that I am on the other side of the camera so it was really special to be in some photos with the kiddies. Superstar Kate from über photography did a fabulous job of entertaining us and capturing some really special moments that I will treasure forever.

Given I am nearing the end of the pregnancy (38 weeks!!), I thought I would share some images from our photo session whilst I am still pregnant. It’s just a little taste today and I’ll be sharing some more photos of the kiddies & the bump over the next day or two.

It’s a gorgeously sunny spring day in Paris today. It’s amazing how a simple thing like sunshine can really lift the spirits, especially for a Sydney girl like me who is used to lots of sunny days. It makes me happy that the warmer weather is only just around the corner now. And so today I wanted to share some equally cheerful images of a little cutie pie I recently met.

I’ve nicknamed him Mr Cheerful as he is such a chilled and happy little boy. But why not, he is half Australian and half French so what isn’t there to smile about really?
And, he has just become a big brother to the equally cute Scarlett …
Don’t you just love the name!!
I’ll be sharing some more images from Scarlett’s newborn session really soon … but in the meantime have a fabulous weekend. Looks like it is going to be a sunny one!

A couple of weeks ago I met the beautiful Aisling for a baby photo session. I was lucky enough to meet her equally gorgeous sisters about a year and a half ago. It’s always so lovely to catch up with families again and to see how much the little ones have grown (and changed). And well I do have a soft spot for seeing the teeny weeny little ones after all. The countdown for our little one has begun - only 6 weeks to go!! So as you can imagine things are starting to slow down although I have a busy week ahead finishing galleries and a few more blog posts up my sleeve. So be sure to pop back again really soon.

Goodness it has been a LONG time since I have blogged. So I thought I would visit again to say hello & share with you what I have been up to. I’ve spent most of the past three months in Australia and returned to Paris a week or so ago. Along the way I have developed a somewhat rather large baby bump. That’s right, we are having our third baby in May - can you believe only 8 weeks to go!! It’s terribly exciting to be having a baby again, although it’s also a little daunting being a Mummy to THREE little munchkins in just a few short months. So please, do feel free to share any tips and tricks. In the meantime I thought I would share a photo of our baby bump …

And I’ll be popping back to share some recent session really soon. A bientôt!

There’s something magical about when it snows in Paris. It’s just so incredibly beautiful. But I have to say when we heard the day after we left the City of Light that all the airports had shut down and that it was snowing in Paris I was a teensy bit happy to miss it this year. And luckily we just made it out before all the snowy delays started.

We have arrived in sunny Sydney and have been welcomed by big blue skies and some lovely warm temperatures. It’s fabulous to see all the family again and I’m really excited to be spending our first Christmas with the family in Sydney since 2002. I hope whereever you are you are enjoying being close to your loved ones and stopping to enjoy the magic of the holidays. Happy holidays everyone!

It’s been a really busy few months preparing orders for all of my recent sessions and especially orders for Christmas. Thus the lower profile than usual. It’s true, I’ve been too busy to blog. It’s been crazy to say the least. Tomorrow we are jetting off for Sydney, Australia to enjoy some sunshine and celebrate Christmas ‘Australia-style’. So have a wonderful festive season and I look forward to 2010 and all the fabulous new faces I’ll get to meet! And of course if you are interested in a Sydney photo session please feel free to email me via the contact page on my website as I’ll be offering a very limited number of sessions. Enjoy!

There’s something so special about newborn babies and I have to confess that I get REALLY clucky when I see them. It’s fabulous to photograph them as I get to meet such new little souls and to sneak in the occassional cuddle or two into the photo session. And lucky me, a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to take some photos of baby Aniela. Isn’t she simply gorgeous?
Such a little cutie with lovely clear blue eyes and luckily for me she was oh-so-awake, happy & playful during our photo session.

Aniela is the younger sister of little Anna-Claire who I recently photographed for her third birthday at the Eiffel Tower. Don’t you just love the expression on Aniela’s face. Already adoring her big sister!
And their mom Lisa-Marie suggested we recreate this image of her & baby Aniela as she has a similar photo with baby Anna-Claire when she was just 6 weeks old. Great idea huh!
And the session was even more special as little Aniela’s jetsetting grandmother was visiting from Germany so it was fabulous to photograph her holding her baby granddaughter.
Lisa-Marie, thanks so much for your hospitality durng the photo session and I really have enjoyed getting to know you & your fabulous family over our photo sessions. Hope everything is going well in preparation for the holidays and a big hello to the big kids in the USA too!
